Trim Winder
The Hydralign Trim Winder utilizes a stainless steel guide ring through which the edge trim material passes. The 2″ diameter guide ring is mounted to a precision ball traversing mechanism which spools the trim material and assures a firmly packaged level wound roll of edge trim for convenient removal.
Winding is accomplished by a a surface driven drum which automatically follows the line speed of the trimming unit. Maximum line speed is 500 feet per minute. The roll of trim material is wound on inexpensive 3″ cardboard cores which are placed on a steel mandrel. Guides on both ends of the mandrel center the roll as the diameter increases.
Coreless winding is also available utilizing the 3″ diameter teflon coated shaft. The material however must be such that it can be easily removed from this teflon coated bar. Other special expanding core shafts are available at additional cost.
